Inuyasha gets angry and jumps through Kagome's well to her time. Strangely, he can pass through! Kagome, in her own time, is enjoying being back and her family don't know if they really can believe Kagome's wild story about her location for the past three days. Souta claims it's true, but they're not so sure. Kagome enjoys her dinner (Oden, of course) when all of a sudden, proof walks through the door.
Inuyasha appears and Kagome's Grandpa claims there was no way he could've gotten through the well since he sealed it with expensive seals from their shrine. Inuyasha waves one of the "crappy seals" around and Kagome's Grandpa is shocked. Inuyasha tries to drag Kagome back with him, but he's stopped by Kagome's mother who starts to mess with Inuyasha's ears asking if they're real or not. Souta's soon to follow asking for his turn.
After returning to the well, Inuyasha starts to go through when Kagome notices hair reaching through the well. Inuyasha can't see it, so she instructs him where to attack to cut the hair. Afterwards, Inuyasha gives Kagome his red overcoat to protect her weak skin from the razor sharp hairs. He explains that his coat is made from fire-rats fur and is stronger than some armors.
Back in Inuyasha's world, they stop by a deserted campsite where all the men have had their heads decapitated. Kagome picks up a bow and arrow from the campsite and they continue onwards. Yura appears and captures Inuyasha with her hairs telling him that he's the "servant of the reincarnated priestess". Inuyasha of course tells her that she's got it wrong, but it doesn't matter; Yura's after Inuyasha's lovely silver hair. (Who wouldn't want it?!?!??!?)
Yura then comments on how his hair's all roughed up and how she'll take care of it. She attacks Inuyasha with her sword and slices through his chest while Kagome fumbles around on the ground and finally manages to launch an arrow at Yura. Her arrow doesn't fall true to its course and nearly hits Inuyasha! Inuyasha gets pissed and tells her to watch where she's aiming. The arrow, while it misses Yura, hits Yura's huge ball of hair (where Yura hides and lives I guess) and starts to purify it and rips through it causing a million skulls to fall out from it. Yura's angry that Kagome would ruin her home like that and sends out fire in Kagome's direction covering her in flames. She then mocks Inuyasha on how she's going to die in the flames and there's nothing he can do about it.
Inuyasha gets angry and for the first time uses his blood to attack her (blades of blood) from the wound in his chest. The attack cuts of Yura's hand where she was holding the sword, but it doesn't appear that she's in any pain! Inuyasha attacks again, but Yura gets smart and uses her skulls to protect her. She uses hair to manipulate her fallen arm and causes it to stab through Inuyasha's back. The hair returns her arm to her and it fixes itself back on to her.
Yura mocks Inuyasha some more and is just about to cut his head off when Inuyasha gets angry and then sticks his fist through her chest taking the Shikon shard from her as he does so. He thinks he's won, but that's not the case! Yura again feels no pain and takes the shard back from him. Yura suddenly notices something: Kagome's still alive and climbing through the masses of hair lying on the ground towards one of the skulls. Inuyasha's fire rat shirt protected her!
Inuyasha cuts her again, but the hair quickly restores her body and it grabs Inuyasha again holding him hostage again. Yura then attacks Kagome with her sword, but it repels off of her. Yura asks her what kind of a human she is to not be cut, but Kagome realizes that it's the power of Inuyasha' clothes that are protecting her as they act as armor. Yura's not amused for long though and then uses her thread to cover Kagome's throat to cut her head off. Inuyasha uses his blades of blood technique again and seriously cuts Yura. Her hair trap falls and Kagome is freed. Inuyasha carries her to safety, but not in time as Yura's sword hits Inuyasha in the chest again and cuts through his chest. Yura tells him she's immortal and he can't kill her.
She sends out her sword again to finish Inuyasha off, but suddenly stops. Kagome is hacking away with an arrow at this one strange red skull and Kagome tells Inuyasha that this skull is the source of Yura's power and her hair. Yura attacks Kagome, but it's too late! Kagome smashes through the skull and hits the hidden comb inside of it. The comb is where Yura's soul was sealed and that's why her body didn't feel pain. The comb's destroyed along with Yura and Inuyasha says it's not uncommon for an inanimate object to turn into a youkai at this day and age in Japan.
Kagome then goes to where Yura's clothes lye and picks up the shard she stole from them. Kagome wonders how long it'll be till they collect all the shards and then Inuyasha says for the first time, "Let's go, Kagome". Kagome's shocked since it's the first time Inuyasha used her name to address her. Kagome's happy and tells him that perhaps he's trying to warm up to her. Inuyasha snubs her off and then Kagome pats him on the back telling him that he should warm up to her. Turns out Inuyasha's in so much pain, but he was hiding it, so he falls over in pain humorously. Kagome then tells him she's so sorry and that he should've told her he was in pain. Inuyasha tells her to shut up. ^_^
