In this episode we introduce the very beautiful guy, Fluffy.. Errr, Sesshoumaru (You just have to crack on this guy sometimes) and his ugly little toad follower, Jakken. Sesshoumaru is searching for his father's grave and is using the Staff of Heads that Jakken carries (With a woman on one side and a man on the other) to try and locate the location of the sealed grave. If the woman head screams, the grave is not where they stand, but if the man laughs, the grave has been found.
Sesshoumaru attacks wolves at this one grave, but the woman screams, so they leave and find an army of warriors celebrating a victory. Sesshoumaru appears and calmly asks for boats, but the general guy laughs and refuses to give anything to Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru then attacks the general and easily kills him. The rest of the army start to attack, but Jakken steps in and uses his staff to burn all the men to death. Sesshoumaru takes a boat, but then Jakken notices that the staff of heads starts to point in another direction towards the grave. Jakken wonders why the location of the grave keeps changing
Jakken later suggests to Sesshoumaru that he might want to go and find Inuyasha. Sesshoumaru hits Jakken and tells him Inuyasha is a name he doesn't want to remember. He then says that Inuyasha's dead anyway, so what's the point? Jakken tells him that he heard rumors that Inuyasha was reawakened after his fifty year slumber.
Back at the well, Kagome comes through pulling her bike with her. How she got it up in the first place is beyond me. Riding along the road, she accidentally runs over a small flea in the road. (We later find out his name is Myouga and he used to be a servant to Inuyasha's father and now is a servant to Inuyasha in turn). Anyway, Kagome reaches Inuyasha and tells him she wants to tend to his wounds he got from Yura. Inuyasha's up in a tree and refuses to get down, so Kagome "Sits" him out of the tree and then Inuyasha tells her to leave him alone, so Kagome gets on him and starts trying to yank his clothes off. At the same time, Kaede is arriving with a group of small children to see both Kagome and Inuyasha lying on each other while Kagome tries to rip his clothes off. Great sight for children.
Inuyasha kicks her off and shows her his chest and how it's already fully healed over. All of a sudden, Inuyasha notices something sucking blood on his chest and smashes the chubby Myouga (Myouga means flea). Kagome takes out a can of bug spray and sprays Myouga with it. XD
Later we learn that Myouga is the guardian of Inuyasha's father's grave. Turns out even Myouga doesn't know the location of the grave. (Go figure) Kaede then talks a bit about Inuyasha's father who was a powerful and great demon and then once Kagome asks about Inuyasha's mother, Myouga tells her how beautiful she was, but Inuyasha then smashes Myouga to shut him up. Kagome wonders if Inuyasha hates his mother or something.
Inuyasha leaves the hut and sits in a tree as usual and Kagome comes out to find him. Kagome figures that since Inuyasha's half demon, his other half must be half human. Kagome figures Inuyasha hates his mother because she was a human and since Inuyasha hates being a human, he would in turn hate her as well.
Out of nowhere, a carriage in the sky appears and Inuyasha pushes Kagome down to hide her telling her something's coming. The carriage arrives and surprise, it's a very beautiful woman looking out of it tied with chains and held captive. Inuyasha reacts and simply says "Mother". The woman cries out for Inuyasha and then Sesshoumaru and Jakken appear riding on this other huge youkai that starts to crush his mother. Jakken tries to fry him with the fire from the staff, but Sesshoumaru stops him saying he wants to talk first.
Sesshoumaru then introduces himself as Inuyasha's older brother. (Wow, who would've thought Inuyasha had such a beautiful brother XD XD XD) Sesshoumaru taunts Inuyasha for being half human (Kagome's thoughts are confirmed) and then Sesshoumaru asks Inuyasha where their father's grave is, but Inuyasha tells him he has no idea. Inuyasha also doesn't believe that the woman who is his mother is real. Sesshoumaru tells him that he brought her back from the dead and gave her a new body. Inuyasha freaks out suddenly worried that the woman COULD be his mother and then attacks her saving her from the monster that was strangling her.
Kagome runs to check on Inuyasha's mother, but Sesshoumaru gets the monster to attack Inuyasha, but before Inuyasha can get hurt, Inuyasha's mother uses some sort of magic to transport them to safety. When Inuyasha wakes up, he's in a field of flowers with his mother and Kagome is asleep nearby. Inuyasha's mother tells Inuyasha that they are in the border between the living and spirit world and that she'll return to the world of the dead now. Inuyasha follows her for a ways and she tells him that he has grown a lot and then she says that she's sorry he had to have such a horrible life.
Kagome then wakes up and realizes she can't move. She then realizes that the woman has no reflection on the pond's surface. She tries to cry out, but her voice no longer works. It's an illusion, but there's nothing she can do about it.
