Inuyasha, the main star of the anime is half demon, half human. He possesses a human heart but strong demon like claws and strength. 50 years ago, he tried to obtain the Shikon jewel, which can turn him into a full demon, but was stopped by the maiden who protects the jewel: Kikyo. He was pinned to a tree for 50 years by Kikyo's arrow, but Kagome freed him and later broke the jewel, so they are hunting for every shard.

Love Life: Inuyasha's love life is kinda...err..really messed up. He apparently still has feelings for Kikyo (even though she almost killed him), and yet has feelings for Kagome, Kikyo's reincarnation. He is unable to choose, although I seem to think he has chosen Kagome after they kiss in the second movie (all together: awwwww.....)
